Bringing ‘The Journey of a Thousand Eyes’ to life
There is not too long a wait left until ‘The Journey of a Thousand Eyes’ is released and as you can imagine with any book launch, things are beginning to get very hectic but also very exciting! As a book lover, I know all about a reader’s anticipation to get their hands on the latest release that everyone is talking about. The build-up, the hype and the little sneak peeks can have you driven half-mad with excitement and intrigue by the time the book actually comes out.
That is why I have made the decision to treat my fans to a little teaser in the form of the first chapter of ‘The Journey of a Thousand Eyes’. By releasing the first chapter to the world before the official launch I want to reward my loyal fans who have been waiting all these months to get their hands on the book, and to entice in some new ones too!
‘The Journey of a Thousand Eyes’ has truly been a labour of love. From conceiving the initial idea and developing the characters and story, to the editing and publishing process; it required heart and soul, which I gladly provided, knowing it would be worth it in the end. That is why, instead of just presenting my characters and their world through the written word, I want to also bring them to life and introduce them to the world in all their colourful, magical glory through a motion picture trailer.
As with any area of my life, this decision was been ruled by my desire to be as creatively unique and innovative as possible and also the importance of doing justice to everything I imagined in my head from day one. And, as with any creative project, a lot of planning, designing, trialling and time has gone into creating the perfect trailer. With everything to consider from character and scene sketching, to deciding upon the best audio settings and writing up the script, you can imagine that the past few weeks have been very busy indeed.
I am nothing if not a perfectionist, so while the process has taken a little bit longer than I had initially anticipated, I know it is worth spending the extra time processing feedback and editing in order to do justice to my book. We have been making great strides with the trailer over the past few weeks; everything is exactly as I imagined it and better, and I can’t wait for you all to see the finished cut.
Seeing ‘The Journey of A Thousand Eyes’ brought to life in colour and sound through the trailer has been surreal; now it is really hitting me that the world I literally dreamt up in my imagination is suddenly very real and about to be showcased to the entire world. I have carried the secrets of ‘The Journey of A Thousand Eyes’ and its characters around in my head for so many years, and now here I am, about to share them with all of you – I could not be happier or more excited about it.
